How does telemedicine work at Exis Health?

Telemedicine at Exis Health allows you to receive expert functional medicine care from the comfort of your home using secure video, phone, and portal messaging. You’ll speak with us directly about your symptoms, health history, and goals, without the need to travel or wait in a clinic. You’ll always have access to lab orders, test results, supplement recommendations, personalized action plans, and educational handouts via your secure patient portal. Functional lab kits and supplements can be shipped right to your door, and you’ll have direct messaging access to our team between visits for support and guidance.

What is Functional Medicine?

Functional medicine is a modern, patient centered approach that looks beyond symptoms to identify and treat the root causes of illness. While conventional medicine often puts a band-aid on symptoms, using quick fixes or medications to manage discomfort. Functional medicine asks why those symptoms are happening in the first place.

Do you work with children or families?

Yes! We offer functional medicine support for both adults and children. Whether your child is struggling with chronic symptoms, behavioral challenges, allergies, or immune concerns, we apply the same root cause, whole body approach, with communication tailored to age and family dynamics. We also offer ongoing care options for entire families seeking proactive wellness support.

Do you offer one time appointments?

Yes! We currently offer two one time services:

  • Initial Intake + Case Review: Two comprehensive sessions to review your health history, goals, and symptoms with a detailed case review and recommendations.

  • One-Time Lab Interpretation + Consultation: for those who have recent labs or want a professional second opinion with personalized insights and next steps.

Both sessions are available without long term commitment, and are a great way to experience Exis Health’s approach.

How soon can I expect to feel better?

Every body is different and healing isn’t linear. Some patients start feeling better within a few weeks, while others take several months to experience deeper shifts , especially if symptoms are chronic or complex. What we can promise: you’ll receive a strategic, step by step plan, support at every stage, and commitment to helping you make sustainable, long term progress.

Do you accept insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid?

Exis Heath is an insurance free practice. We are not contracted with private insurers, Medicare, or Medicaid. This allows us to deliver care without restrictions coding limitations, or rushed appointment windows giving you the time, personalization, and attention you deserve. We do everything we can to make care affordable and accessible to everyone. Many patients choose to use pre tax dollars through Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to cover the cost of consultations and lab testing. Cancellation, rescheduling & No show policy?

Cancellation:
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled time may result in a cancellation free or forfeiture of the session, as determined by Exis Health.
Rescheduling:
Appointments must be rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice may be considered forfeited.
Missed Appointments / No-Show:
Appointments missed without notice (no-shows) will be subject to a fee, charged to the card on file. Repeated no show may result in dismissal from the practice.
